The Hullabaloo

The Hullabaloo – Opening December 2017

The Hullabaloo will be a new venue specially created for children and families, a national centre of excellence in theatre for young audiences and an inspiring place to play and learn.

Built within an Edwardian Fire Station on a site adjacent to Darlington’s Civic Theatre, The Hullabaloo will present world-class performances for children, house mind-blowing creative play installations, offer a wide range of creative opportunities and classes for families and be a focal point for creative education.

The Hullabaloo will also be the meeting point for artists, educators and researchers, with children as creative collaborators, to generate new creative ideas for pioneering art or national policy into the role of the arts in childhood.

It will be a home for Theatre Hullabaloo and a power house in the production of theatre for young audiences.
