Make Some Noise!

We have a real treat for Darlington this may-half term with this funny and heart-warming poetry show for children (aged 5+) and their grown-ups.

Make some Noise! Is written and performed by award-winning poet Dommy B who also performed the show at last summer’s Hullabaloo in the Park.

Noise can be gentle, quiet, loud, lots of fun and full of feelings. During the show Dommy B shares a surprising story about growing up, finding a brilliant (but naughty) imaginary friend, becoming ‘Junk the Punk’ and joining a great school band (Whizzkid and the Veggie Burgers)!

There’ll be rhymes, jokes, plus lots of opportunity to make some noise and get involved in this celebration of the power of sound and friendship.

Families can come along to see and join in with Dommy’s show at The Hullabaloo on Wednesday 28 May.

Dommy’s also running an amazing poetry workshop on Tues 27 May for 7-12 year olds – find out more here! If you book your child onto the workshop your family can come and enjoy Dommy’s show the next day for just £5 per person.

“We all left the venue with a massive smile on our faces, whether we were 5 or 55 and that’s where the strength of Dom’s storytelling lies. It’s his ability to connect with whoever he is in the room with!”
