Luna Casting Information

We are currently casting for our 2018 production of Luna which will embark on a short national tour before returning to The Hullabaloo, Theatre Hullabaloo’s new purpose-designed venue for children and families, for Christmas. We are looking for two actors and a musician.

Auditions: 30th & 31st July 2018 (London & Darlington)
Rehearsals at The Hullabaloo in Darlington: 22nd October – 9th November 2018
National Tour: 10th November – 5th December 2018
Christmas run at The Hullabaloo up to and including 29th December 2018
(Days off include 25th & 26th December)

Theatre Hullabaloo is a pioneering theatre company making work for young audiences based in the North East of England. Theatr Iolo is an award-winning theatre company based in Cardiff. Luna is an original collaboration between Theatre Hullabaloo and Theatr Iolo that first toured in 2011 and has been enjoyed by thousands of children in both England and Wales across a number of national tours since then.

CAST
We are currently casting for our 2018 production of Luna which will embark on a short national tour before returning to The Hullabaloo, Theatre Hullabaloo’s new purpose-designed venue for children and families, for Christmas. We are looking for two actors and a musician:

One Male Actor to play: Billy
Billy is 4 years old. We are looking for an experienced and sensitive actor who has a playful, childlike quality. A strong singing voice and musicality is an advantage.

One Female Performer to play: Luna
Luna is the embodiment of the Moon. She is an other-worldly older sister type, playful and eccentric. A strong singing voice and musicality is an advantage.

One Musician (Female or Male)
The Musician is on stage throughout the show, plays guitar and cello and sings a simple variation of Twinkle Twinkle Little Star. S/he should be comfortable with using loop pedals.

This is an ITC Approved Manager and all fees, subsistence etc are in line with ITC / Equity agreements. We actively encourage applications from BAME performers and from artists from other communities currently underrepresented in our work. All touring teams are DBS checked as part of normal employment procedure.
