Early Years Music Network Meeting

16 Jan ’20

Durham Music Service, in partnership with Theatre Hullabaloo, warmly invite you to an Early Years Music Network Meeting run as part of Durham Music Service’s Early Years Music Project funded by Youth Music.

If you are a Tees Valley based Early Years Practitioner who would like to build your knowledge, understanding and confidence in using music with very young children, this would be ideal for you! This is suitable for complete beginners as well as those who may have already done some music with the children in their setting.

Focus of the session: Choosing the correct repertoire for settings and ages

What you will take away from this session:

  • Songs, games and rhymes to use with very young children and how to use these across the 0-5 age range;
  • How to select age-appropriate resources;
  • Handouts with detailed information about the material we have used in the session;
  • A chance to meet and network with other Early Years Practitioners.

There will be future network meetings once a term covering different aspects of Early Years Music. Due to the funding from Youth Music, there is no charge to attend the meetings.

Date: Tuesday 11th February 2020

Time: 09:30 – 11:30

Where: The Hullabaloo, Darlington

Cost: Places are FREE (funded by Youth Music) but please book a place by contacting info@theatrehullabaloo.org.uk.

Light refreshments will be available. We recommend early booking as numbers are limited.
