Dreaming of You

An immersive sound and light installation where floating clouds gather children’s voices, dreams, and questions about technology and the future.

Suspended within our theatre space, glowing clouds drift through colour and sound, creating an environment that invites visitors to pause, listen, and reflect.

Co-created with children, the clouds collect their reflections on technology and imagination, growing and evolving with every new voice and with each new exhibition. Their recordings form a living soundscape that moves through the installation like weather passing across the sky.

Each cloud carries fragments of these conversations, weaving them into an ambient soundscape that asks simple but profound questions: What is the internet? What does it look like? What might the future hold? What is AI, and who shapes it? And perhaps most simply—what do clouds dream about?

The work reflects on the hidden infrastructures of our digital lives—the codes and algorithms that ripple outward as they are shared and repeated, shaping our online environments while remaining largely invisible. The clouds become both storytellers and listeners, holding a collective imagination shaped by many voices over time.
