We're couldn’t be happier to announce the appointment of Emma Rees as our new Executive Director / joint CEO.
Emma will be joining Theatre Hullabaloo from June 2026 and will work alongside our Artist Producer Miranda Thain whose role will now become Artistic Producer/joint CEO, together forming our new executive team.
Emma joins us from the highly regarded Theatre Centre where she has been working as Executive Director and CEO. She has many years of experience in a variety of roles in theatres and touring companies at small, medium and large scale, with responsibility for strategic development, finance and funding, producing, tour booking and management, marketing and administration. She has also worked on several independent theatre and film projects in management and producing roles.

Emma has vast experience as senior leader within the cultural sector and currently leads an organisation that has young people at the heart of it. The Board are excited for Emma to join and to work collaboratively with both Miranda as Joint CEO and with the whole team. Her passion for our vision was strong as were her thoughts and ideas for taking the organisation forward and as Chair I look forward to welcoming her to Theatre Hullabaloo’
