David Goodall began composing in the early eighties, writing for theatre, chamber ensembles and choirs. He worked as assistant engineer and session musician at Brick Lane’s Boundary Row Studios, and currently runs Soundsmove Studios, where he has scored award-winning films, mixed films, including New Zealand horror film The Devil’s Rock and produced the Nigerian World Cup single – One.

Composition work has taken David all over the world, and his music has been used in projects as diverse as Derek Walcott’s adaptation of The Odyssey; the Irn Bru Clan Can Guinness Record bid; and Anterores – a choral piece for the funeral of Domenico Chiocchetti, principal artist of the Orkney Italian Chapel. As well as theatre music and commissioned compositions, David has many television theme tunes and film scores to his credit, and has won a Silver Rose for Best Sound Design for a series of BBC idents.
