Micky originates from Newcastle and has appeared on all of the major theatre stages in the North-East in plays such as A Nightingale Sang at Live Theatre, Peter Pan at Northern Stage and the one man show I Love Kent Walton at Customs House South Shields. He has also appeared at Nottingham Playhouse in What Flows Past the Baltic and toured with Tangled Feet.

In 2014 he wrote and produced stand up show ‘What the Fudge’ which he performed at Edinburgh Fringe, Jesterval and The Stand Newcastle.
As frontman of This Ground Moves Micky sang on the same stage as artists including Jake Bugg, Tim Burgess and Ocean Colour Scene, performing all over Europe and headlining Smash Fest in Rome. The band released an album ‘You are not the End of the World.’

Since the first production of Bear and Butterfly he has starred as Jimmy in Pitmen Painters (Oldham Coliseum), in The Fighting Bradfords (Gala Theatre), Five Dead Nobodies (Odd Man Out) and musical Beyond the End of the Road (November Club) with TV appearances in Hospital People (BBC1) and Man Down with Greg Davies (Channel Four). He is excited to be back with the team and Theatre Hullabaloo.
