Competition: Spot the eggs
Although the doors of The Hullabaloo remain closed, we’ve created a beautiful new installation for you to visit and interact with in our windows from 29 March. This interactive installation is a collaboration with Northumberland-based Green Croft Arts, where you can dance and play from behind the glass with our interactive dancing flowers and fill the rainbow with colour as you listen to the birds sing.
We have hidden eggs in our new Signs of Spring window installation at The Hullabaloo - can you spot them?
From 29 March – 11 April there will be 4 eggs hidden in the window of The Hullabaloo (and an egg in the window of our neighbours, Darlington Hippodrome)
These eggs have been designed by local children and their ideas brought to life by north east artist, Lottie Smith.
We are inviting local families to visit our new installation from behind the glass at The Hullabaloo and to come along between 29 March – 11 April and spot the eggs. You can download a spring activity sheet below, mark on the sheet where the eggs are and send back to us to win a chocolate egg!

Egg Artist / Creator
Lottie Smith
Artist
Jack of all Trades, Master of Cardboard
Lottie enjoys making detailed and beautifully finished pieces that put a smile on the faces of those that encounter them. Things that create interaction either with their surroundings or the people who come into contact with them. Objects that have and tell story.
Tailoring design and concepts to the particular clients needs and producing sculptures, sets, props and workshops for a variety of events and locations. From shop windows, trade show stands, museum exhibits, festivals, music videos and photos shoots. She works largely (or smalley) with cardboard and paper so once a commission has served its purpose, it can be returned straight to the recycling, creating a big visual impact, but avoiding the big environmental cost.
